Children and cell phones
Just the other day I found a child deep in conversation on his cell phone. When I asked his age, he said that he was “11″ years old! And in 6th standard.
My question is, is that the appropriate age for a child to own a cell phone? Does an 11 year old need a cell? Why? To stay “connected to people”?
When I asked his parents, they said that we need to stay in touch with our children when they are out with their friends. OK! But are they monitoring the people their child is in contact with? No!
Now I don’t know if you people have noticed or not, but now a days the children and teenagers a little more than fond of their cells. They are Addicted to them…!
The deleterious effects of such an addiction are that the young generation is becoming more of a liability by not being productive in any way. How can one be productive when one chatters his night away on the phone?
In my opinion the government should stop all the night packages. They are providing no useful service (Unless you consider Ruining the Youth a service). The Parents should also be more considerate before providing their children with cell phones.
